CeCe Winans Joins Star-Studded Aretha Franklin Tribute at American Music Awards

Last Tuesday's American Music Awards ended on a high note with a star-studded gospel tribute to Aretha Franklin featuring CeCe Winans, Gladys Knight, Ledisi, Mary Mary and Donnie McClurkin.

Winans performed a soulful "Mary, Don't You Weep", with others taking on songs such as "Old Landmark", "How I Got Over", "Climb Higher Mountains", and "Amazing Grace". While the songs were performed, a video package traced Franklin's history with the awards show, going back to her performance on the third annual show in 1976 and the 1983 edition, which she hosted.

Outside of her performance at American Music Awards, Winans has been preparing the release of her holiday record, Something's Happening: A Christmas Album, which drops October 19th.
